Walking and Biking in Warnemunde

On Day two in Warnemunde, I got up early to walk into the town part to see if the fishing boats came in. The sun had not yet risen, and no boats had even gone out, but it was fun being there for the sun rise.  The boats were creaking as they rubbed against the moorings in an otherwise mostly quiet town.  Some shop keepers were letting down their awnings for an early opening, and others were scurrying around getting the pastries out before opening like you would do when you are late.  The smell of baking wafted out some doors propped open but not yet open for business.  It was just me and a few runners.  The sailboats across the way were silhouetted  against the pastel sky

And finally the sun peeked over the horizon as I returned to the ship.
Our plan for the day was a group bike ride, so we joined up with a group of folks from the ship to bike to the cliffs along the beach.
We had to get a buddy to make sure we had everybody present at the stops.  My buddy was Carey, in the red fleece.  If the two women next to her look familiar, it's because this is a set of triplets on the ship.  I'm glad they dressed in different colors. Our long ride was rewarded with beautiful views.
Mr. Poe accompanied us on our ride, and I can't imagine his calves were as sore as mine were on the next day.
